FACT SHEET: “TASTE EUROPE!” PROGRAMME – PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN
The campaign aims to raise awareness among consumers in Singapore, Japan and Vietnam about the advantages of European Union (EU) products – namely high quality, safety, exceptional taste, sustainable practices and reduced environmental impact of production in the fruit sector. In this way, it increases consumers’ willingness to buy promoted products.
Produce stands out due to its consistently high quality and distinctive taste and aroma, which are the result of integrated production methods reinforced by rigorous quality control systems. These systems are implemented across all European Union (EU) countries, adhering to international standards such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GHP (Good Hygiene Practice), GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), and ISO (Quality Management System), ensuring excellence from farm to table.
With consumers in mind, the activities are mainly based on digital marketing and social media, but also on:
Cooking demonstrations and food tastings at stands at trade fairs and B2B meetings, we hope, will inspire participants to share our recipes. These demonstrations will show how to prepare European-style lunch boxes with high-quality EU ingredients to obtain a tasty and visually appealing meal, one of the most important elements.
What is the lunchbox concept?
It refers to the Asian tradition of eating lunch on the go, providing easy solutions for preparing what goes into the lunchbox. There will be demonstrations on how to make lunchboxes for eating on the go with EU products, prepared in a traditional European way. The concept is inspired by the Japanese bento tradition, an all-in-one takeaway meal packed in a box. More than just a meal, it is a celebration of family values. Cooking demonstrations and food tastings will show the audience how easy it is to prepare a European-style lunchbox filled with different dishes containing EU pork and beef, complemented with European apple (whole, as juice, sweet dessert, etc.) and why it is so important to choose EU products due to their high quality and safety standards.
Promoted products: Fresh, chilled and frozen beef and pork; and apples and their products.
Main target markets of the “Taste Europe!” promotional campaign: Singapore, Japan and Vietnam.
The campaign program is planned for the years 2023-2026. The campaign is co-financed by the European Union under the Common Agricultural Policy Mechanism. The author of the program is the Consortium, which includes two industry organizations: the Association of Polish Butchers and Meat Producers and the Polish Union of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Groups.

Magdalena Smolak at her current position as the Head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency Branch Office in Singapore (PAIH) she is dedicated to fostering economic ties between Poland and Southeast Asia, driving initiatives that support bilateral trade and investment.
She is also an active Member of the Digital Economy and Financial Services Committees at Eurocham, where she contributes to shaping the digital and financial landscape in the region. Her expertise in fintech is further demonstrated through her role as Co-Founder of the European FinTech Hackcelerator (EFH) in collaboration with Accelpoint accelerator. EFH is an International Programme Partner of the Global FinTech Hackcelerator organized by the Singapore FinTech Festival (2020-2023), serves as a bridge between European fintech innovators and the global market.
Previously, she served as Vice President at the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (CEEC), where she was instrumental in connecting the CEE and ASEAN business ecosystems. Her efforts in establishing key stakeholder relationships and introducing regional initiatives have significantly enhanced economic collaboration between these regions.
Throughout her over 10+ years career, she has coordinated numerous projects aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in internationalization, bilateral trade, and the tech sector, guiding founders through incubation, acceleration, and expansion stages. She has established a soft-landing spot in Singapore to help companies go global, providing vital matchmaking services between scale-ups, corporates, and investors.

She completed postgraduate studies: "Brand Management" at the Warsaw School of Economics and "International Marketing Management" at the University of Lodz. A Manager with 15 years of experience in marketing and promotion, including retail and FMCG. She is also responsible for project management on foreign markets, among other things, in the fashion and cosmetics sectors. In 2018-2019, she was responsible in PAIH for the implementation of the Industry Promotion Program "BRAND" in the cosmetics, fashion and jewellery sectors.
